Every day we walk through the most beautiful city in the world! Again and again we discover little corners or shop windows that could be decorated with funny little scenes from Wonderland. Now hundreds of little figures have set off to conquer the most beautiful city in the world.
Over 12,000,000 visitors from all over the world have already been to Miniatur Wunderland. Although we have a number of airplanes, trains, ships and cars, most visitors are drawn to the world’s largest model railway layout primarily because of the thousands of lovingly crafted details. People want to discover the many stories told by over 215,000 figures. After all, most of the more than 600,000 hours of work have gone into these loving details.
Until now, all the scenes could only be seen in Wonderland. Now the little figures are moving into the big city. We have hidden little scenes in 30 secret places all over Hamburg. From shop windows to gaps between buildings – Wunderland can be anywhere. Hamburg is the most beautiful city in the world. So it was only natural that our little figures wanted to get out and discover its beauty and bring joy to the people of Hamburg outside of Wunderland.
From 01.09 – 30.09.2014, anyone can search for these little scenes. Prizes worth over 20,000 euros are up for grabs. On the website www.miniatur-wunderland.de/schnitzeljagd you will find tips on where to locate the 30 small scenes. A solution word is built into each scene. Anyone who has found a scene can log it onto the website with a photo and the solution word and will then automatically be entered into the location prize draw.
In total, there are 31 prizes worth over 20,000 euros to be won. At each of the 30 hiding places, prizes worth between 100 and 1,000 euros will be raffled off among all those who have correctly logged the location. Whoever has found the most correct scenes at the end of the game will win the main prize: a Hamburg package worth over 10,000 euros. If there is more than one winner, the winner will be drawn by lot. In addition to the tips on the website, there will be further tips on the hiding places every day on Twitter (twitter.com/miwula) under the hashtag #üiw.
Everyone who knows us knows how much we like to play. We are happy to finally be able to start a big game together with all the people of Hamburg. The only downer: we’re not allowed to play ourselves…
