100,000 matches and sparklers. Explosion destroys the corona virus…

Moin moin from Miniatur Wunderland,

Everything has been said about 2020 and now it’s coming to an end. And what do crazy wonderlands do when the ceiling falls on their heads during lockdown? Right… garbage!

A new year begins in two days and we would love to finally banish corona from our lives. In the beginning it was a funny idea and suddenly everyone joined in. We used over 100,000 matches and sparklers to build giant Corona virus balls. But is it even possible to light them in Miniatur Wunderland without damaging it? The result is a loving and really exciting movie.

Hollywood in 1:87 🙂 Suddenly the oversized balls appear in the fog throughout Miniatur Wunderland and in a kind of review of the year you can see what we and the little Wunderlanders had to endure, with an exciting ending…

We have published the film on all our channels today. You can also download it here: To the video

This video should be our hopeful message for 2021. Covid 19 turned to dust. At least symbolically…

As always, it’s our craziness that creates something like this and makes it a lot of fun. From our, not always hanseatic, reserved eyes, it’s THE HAPPY NEW YEAR message we could all use for the new year. It would be so important, and not just for Wunderland, that we could somehow return to some kind of normality over the course of the year. We ended 2020 in Wonderland with a black eye. We could write a big book about what we experienced. It seems surprising, but it would tend to be loving, positive and full of wonderful insights. Here in Wonderland, we experienced so many emotional moments that ultimately brought us even closer together.

We’ve been dreaming for two days that a third video will go viral worldwide this month. Oh how appropriate the word VIRAL is here 🙂 In order for it to have a chance of becoming a real New Year’s Eve – / New Year’s message, we have to launch it 2 days in advance, otherwise it won’t be distributed well enough by New Year’s Eve. Of course, we have no idea whether this will work, but our “A380 Jingle Bells” video has been viewed between 60 and 100 million times worldwide again this year. And it took exactly these 2 days to go viral.

If the video is a story for you, we could of course tell a lot more about it.

Just to be on the safe side, an urgent appeal not only to children and young people: PLEASE DO NOT IMITATE!

We wish you and your family a great 2021, which after initial problems will hopefully become a magical year bit by bit…

Your team from Miniatur Wunderland
