Atze Schröder, cult figure of the German comedy scene, has nowhere as many fans as in Hamburg (apart from his home town of Essen-Kray). So it was only natural that the comedian should officially open the brand new concert hall at Miniatur Wunderland on the occasion of the Hamburg premiere of his programme ‘Atze im Wunderland’ (from 10 to 19 May at the Fliegenden Bauten). From 11 May, visitors will be able to experience Atze live at the touch of a button for the next few months.
Atze Schröder, now only two centimetres tall, will move around the beautifully designed stage as if by magic using magnetic technology, while visitors of Wunderland will be treated to a beautiful light show to match the snippets from his programme. The concert hall (a mixture of Fabrik, Fliegende Bauten and Große Freiheit) will be another highlight in the Hamburg section.
Atze is really looking forward to the opening: “I think it’s great that I’m the first artist to be seen on the new miniature stage. Especially as I have a special relationship with Hamburg.
We are delighted that Atze Schröder himself will be pressing the button for the first time on Thursday 11 May 2006 at 10.30 a.m. to start the guest performance at Miniatur Wunderland, which will run for several months.
