For many people, watching the news daily to find out what’s happening around the world is part of everyday life. In Miniatur Wunderland, more than 230,000 miniature inhabitants live on a 1,300 m² model area spread over eight worlds. Until now, it was very difficult for the little Wunderlanders to get reliable news.

As of today, however, this has changed abruptly. The Tagesschau and Miniatur Wunderland have opened the first high-tech miniature news studio in 1:87 scale. Several model builders have spent months working on the Tagesschau studio with its deceptively real projection screen and many loving details. In the miniature news studio, the little inhabitants of Wonderland are provided with the most important news from Knuffigen and the seven other worlds. The news is presented by Jan Hofer.

After speeches by Dr. Kai Gniffke, the first editor-in-chief of ARD-aktuell, Tagesschau chief speaker Jan Hofer and Gerrit and Frederik Braun from Miniatur Wunderland, the Tagesschau studio was ceremoniously opened at 11 am.
